VACAVILLE — Public Works Field Utilities Lead Jason Maher was named the Redwood Empire Section's Collection Person of the Year, and the city's Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant was honored as the 2022 Redwood Empire Section Medium-Sized Plant of the Year. The honor was presented at the recent annual conference of the California Water Environment Association Redwood Empire Section. 'In addition, Environmental Compliance Inspector Will Edwards was one of only four individuals statewide to be honored with the President's Award for his service as the State Pretreatment, Pollution Prevention, and Stormwater Committee Chair,' a statement released by the city said.
